Software I use, Languages and Frameworks I love and other things I recommend.
I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.
Development tools
-
PhpStorm
PHPStorm is by far my favorite for full-blown development. It has the best integrated debugger I have used, a full suite of intuitive features, and most importantly - it's fast
-
TablePlus
Great software for working with databases. Has saved me from building about a thousand admin interfaces for my various projects over the years.
-
GitHub
With GitHub, I can collaborate better across various environments. It's made me twice as productive.
-
Laravel Forge
Using Forge is an absolute no-brainer. It has every thing a Laravel dev needs to host their applications!
-
SplitBee
I really like Splitbee. UI is incredibly smooth, installation is easy... So far, the best analytics tool I've tried!
Frameworks and Languages
-
Laravel
Laravel makes building web apps exciting! It has also helped me to become a better developer 🤙
-
TailwindCSS
Loved it the very moment I used it. I never want to write regular CSS again. Only @tailwindcss.
-
Alpine JS
There is no better way to get a feel for what Alpine is and what it can do, than by seeing it for yourself
-
Vue JS
Vue.js is a smart decision from both developer and product owner perspective
Design
-
Figma
I started using Figma as just a design tool, but now it’s become my virtual whiteboard. Never would have expected the collaboration features to be the real hook.
-
Adobe XD
it's fast, simple, and creative. It's a wonderful prototyping and wire-framing tool
I'd be delighted to hear from you.
